Sapphire

Sapphire is a corundum crystal, composed of aluminum and oxygen with traces of iron, titanium, chromium that determine its coloration, from deep blue to lighter hues. Historically, it has been mined in Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and India, revered as a stone of wisdom and power by kings and priests. In the Middle Ages, it was believed to protect from poisons and grant mental clarity.
