Watermelon tourmaline

Watermelon tourmaline is a polychromatic variety of tourmaline, characterized by concentric bands of pink, green, and sometimes white, resembling the colors of a watermelon. Composed of aluminum silicate with traces of iron, magnesium, and lithium, it forms in pegmatitic environments. It is primarily found in Brazil, Madagascar, and the United States. Historically, it has been used as a talisman by shamans and healers for its alleged ability to harmonize opposites.
