Snowflake obsidian is a glassy volcanic rock with white cristobalite inclusions resembling snowflakes on a black background. Formed from rapidly cooled silica-rich lava, it’s found in volcanic regions like Mexico, Iceland, and the USA. Historically used for sharp tools and scrying mirrors, Native Americans valued it as a truth-revealing stone that exposes inner shadows.
